He is one of the longest serving players in the SuperSport United squad yet is one of those who have played just a few matches.
But that has not stopped second-choice goalkeeper Boalefa Pule in believing that he would one day command a regular position as the club’s number one shot-stopper.
The 30-year-old has been part of Matsatsantsa since the 2011/12 season but has made just 2 official appearances.
“My time at SuperSport United has been nice and not nice, not nice meaning not getting enough time but obviously I am competing with one of the best goalkeepers and currently number one for Bafana (Ronwen Williams),” Pule told FARPost.
“I have enjoyed my stay here and I am still enjoying it so I don’t see any changes there. For me it’s all about patience as you know a goalkeeper position is a special one so people have to understand that.
“You have to train yourself mentally and physically always be in touch with your game. So it has been a privilege working with Ronwen Williams and learning something, hopefully he is learning something from me also. We have been going on for some time now and our competition has been healthy from a young age but I still believe that my time will also come,” he said.
During his nine years stint at the Pretoria-based side, Pule has also been loaned to clubs such as AmaZulu and Bidvest Wits before returning to the club.
He was also part of the Bafana Bafana 2017 COSAFA Cup Squad which was hosted in the North West and made 2 appearances.
