Thabo Qalinge appears to be doing enough to earn a contract at AmaZulu, judging by what head coach Benni McCarthy has told FARPost.
Qalinge is currently training with Usuthu. He’s been clubless since leaving Supersport United last season.
McCarthy revealed to FARPost that ‘Section 10’ has settled in very well with the help of players around him. “He is a good boy and a fantastic player, I got to know him a few days ago and he seems to settle in very well with the boys.
“He knows a few players in the team which makes it easy for him, we will see, I will have a conversation with the chairman, his agent and himself and then we will see where we go from there but so far it has been very nice to have him”, added McCarthy.
The Cape Town-born coach is adamant Qalinge will bring new dimension to the team, “He brings something different and more quality to the group that we already have, that is something we might look at but I will leave everything to the owner of the club”, concluded McCarthy.
The Soweto-born winger has also played for Mpumalanga Black Aces and Orlando Pirates.
