Former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has taken to social media to welcome ex-Barcelona star Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
The pair probably never saw eye-to-eye during their La Liga battles over the years – featuring on opposing sides of the El Clasico rivalry, with Ramos leading Real and Messi playing for Barca.
“Who was going to tell us, right Leo Messi? Welcome,” said Ramos in an Instagram post, welcoming his new teammate in Paris.
When speculation of a potential Barca exit first started earlier this year, then Real captain Ramos jokingly invited his old nemesis to stay at his home in Madrid.
He said, as quoted by AS: “He could stay at mine for the first week or so. He can find his feet and get comfy, I’d be more than happy to do that.”
