FARPost can confirm that GladAfrica Championship side Real Kings have deducted the salaries of all their employees by 60% due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This publication reported last week that the club sent the communication to all staff indicating their intentions to cut their salaries.
In a letter sent to all staff on Wednesday, the club informed players, technical Staff and the management that they would receive their April Salaries short of 60%.
“Dear Players, Technical and Management
“As we had mentioned to all of us that due to Corona Virus which has resulted in Lock Down in the Country and Suspension of all Sporting Events including ourselves that is the League Matches. Management in consultation with club President, Salaries will be 60% short than normal until things are back to normal,” read the communique.
The staff have not been informed as to for how long will the new ‘payment arrangement’ last for.
