GladAfrica Championship side Real Kings have requested their players, technical team as well as the management to come with a proposal on pay cut percentage due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a communiqué sent by to all the employees on Friday, the club has request that everyone should come up with a suggestion on what would be a more reasonable pay cut before a final decision can be made.
FARPost is in possession of the letter which the club indicates that the decision arises due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has resulted in all sporting events being suspended.
The letter does not indicate when the pay cuts will be implemented or any deadline on when the players should submit their suggestions.
Although pay cuts have been an international trend amongst some big football teams, in South AmaZulu are one of the clubs that has informed their staff including players that they would receive only a portion of their salaries at the end of April.
Cape Town City Chairman John Comitis has been quoted as saying players will take a 20% pay cut if football cannot resume by May.
