SAFA referee Victor Hlungwani through his Limpopo Sports wise and Pushipassion whattsup initiative finally made a contribution to donating food parcels to the needy security personnel who have heavily been affected by COVID-19.
In April this year, Hlungwani told FARPost that he intends to help securities who rely on salaries from Premier Soccer League matches as the league programme has been temporarily suspended.
This past Saturday, the 2011/12 PSL Referee of the Season donated the food parcels to over 37 security personnel in Diepkloof, Soweto.
“The 37 Security personnel received food parcels to the value of R500 each and were really excited and thanked all the donors who made it possible for them to feed their families,” said Hlungwani.
“More friends like Mzimba Hlungwani, Sydney Nkuna, Luxolo September, Velile Mnyandu, Leonard Dlamini, Phumudzo Manenzhe and others made contributions to this noble cause and we managed to raise around R18 000,” he said.
Hlungwani was accompanied by Jimmy Makhuvele (Pushipassion), Leonard Dlamini, Tebogo Monyai as well as Manenzhe.
