Baroka have confirmed the suspension of coach Dylan Kerr with full pay pending a disciplinary hearing, as it was reported by FARPost on Monday.
A date for the hearing has not been set yet.
It has since been revealed that there was a serious and intense verbal altercation between Baroka chairman Khurishi Mphahlele and Kerr, on Saturday, 2 October following a friendly match between Baroka and SuperSport United at the Ranch Hotel in Polokwane.
It is believed that Kerr was upset after Mphahlele requested an explanation on some technical decisions during the match and told the club owner to leave technical matters to the technical team.
According to our informant, the reaction did not sit well with Mphahlele who felt disrespected and reminded Kerr who the boss was.
This publication has since been reliably informed that Kerr has been charged with insubordination and bringing the club into disrepute.
It is a well-known fact that the relations between Kerr and his bosses have been compromised since his comments on SuperSport TV about interference.
Although Mphahlele has publicly stated that the incident is in the past, we have been reliably told that the issue remains a talking point in the Baroka corridors.
The club and the coach still refuse to comment on the matter.
FARPost will keep you updated on the latest developments.
