Richards Bay FC returned to winning ways on Tuesday afternoon as they brushed aside Cape Town All Stars by two goals to one at Parrow Park Stadium.
Two goals by Simila Ntsundwana and Khanyisa Mayo were enough to hand the Natal Rich Boyz maximum points away from home.
Richards Bay scored as early as the fourth minute through lanky forward Ntsundwana, then star player Mayo converted from the penalty spot to give the visitors a 2-0 lead going to half time.
Simo Dladla’s charges had lost 3-1 against Cape Umoya United at the same venue on Saturday, much to the disappointment of the coach. Dladla had alluded that his players should fight to get maximum points against teams in the bottom half of the log.
The victory for Richards Bay takes them to 35 points on the GladAfrica Championship league table after 20 games and they are one point ahead of second placed Sekhukhune United FC.
