Richards Bay have started bolstering their squad for the new GladAfrica Championship season.

The Natal Rich Boys have secured a defender and a goalkeeper from Dabeka Sporting, who play in the ABC Motsepe KwaZulu Natal League.

Dabeka Sporting FC general manager Skithy Cele revealed to FARPost that they’ve concluded a deal with Richards Bay for the services of Khetha Tshabalala (25) and Ayanda Ngwenya (21).

“Khetha has signed with Bay it’s a done deal, I think he is going to be the first choice in the centre back role.”

“One of our youngest players Ngwenya, who is a goalkeeper has also joined Richards Bay. They have signed him from Dabeka Sporting, we are happy that both players have signed and their deals have been concluded,” Cele said.

Last week Richards Bay chairman Sifiso Biyela told FARPost that they are almost done with their new signings as per coach Allan Freese’s request.

Meanwhile, the club is still assessing some promising players from KZN ABC Motsepe clubs in their attempts to strengthen their squad for the new 2021/22 campaign.
