Richards Bay FC will fancy their chances of qualifying for the Nedbank Cup semi-finals at the expense of Chippa United, when the two sides clash at Sisa Dukashe Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Natal Rich Boys visit the Dstv Premiership side that has been struggling in the league, having recently lost two matches on the trot.
The Chilli Boys needed extra time to knock out 2018 Champions Free State Stars and Cape Town City respectively on their way to the last eight. Dan Malesela’s troops will need to up their game if they are to mount a serious challenge against the GladAfrica Championship side.
Richards Bay have not tasted defeat in their last 10 matches in all competitions, winning six and four stalemates. They also boast of scoring prowess, instigated by Khanyisa Mayo, who is among the leading scorers in the first division.
Simo Dladla’s boys have dethroned SA cup kings Kaizer Chiefs and TS Sporting on their way to the quarter-finals. The KZN outfit will be on their giant slaying mode when the two teams meet at 15:30 tomorrow.
Richards Bay are top of GladAfrica Championship and will fancy their chances against Chippa United team that is in the bottom half of the Dstv Premiership.
