Richards Bay FC will be bouyed by the prospect of getting their first three points in their quest to qualify for Dstv Premiership next season.

Allan Freese’s men were the only team at Chatsworth Stadium on Thursday 24 June, as they went on with the formalities to register their first win of the play-offs, with a walk-over.

With their opponents Royal AM not honouring the match, it will rest with the PSL DC to award three points to the Natal Rich Boys.

Richards Bay arrived on time and carried out all the necessary protocols for a PSL match, as referee Victor Hlungwani blew the whistle for full-time, with only one team on the pitch.

Their next match will be against Chippa United, who look set to retain their status as they have six points on the mini table after two matches.

Chippa United and Richards Bay still have home matches against Royal AM, who have made it clear that they will not honour the play-off matches.
