GladAfrica Championship side Richards Bay have secured the services of former Bulawayo Chiefs defender Manhire Brighton.
Brighton who played for Chiefs in the Zimbabwean Premier League has already started training with the KwaZulu-Natal based side and was unveiled today.
The 25-year-old had a two-year stint at Mbombela United before returning back to Zimbabwe in 2018 to join Chiefs.
Richards Bay will be hoping that Brighton will help tighten their leaky defence as they are only two spots away from the relegation drop zone in 12th positron on the log and have lost 7 out of their 16 games in the second-tier of South African football.
The Natal Rich Boyz also announced a number of other signings including goalkeeper Malcom Jacob who was on the books of Real Kings FC.
Former AmaZulu midfielder Sdiduuzo Dlamini joins the team. Khanyiso Mayo formerly of Royal Eagles is part of the new signings alongside 18-year-old defender Ashay Sewlall who was playing for Milford FC in the ABC Motsepe League Side.
Richards Bay have now lost 4 consecutive games and the newly appointed head coach Simo Dladla will lead the side tomorrow as they take on fellow strugglers in Cape Umoya United at Athlone Stadium.
