Former Senegal international Papa Bouba Diop has reportedly passed away after a long illness.
He’s remembered for scoring the winner when Senegal beat France in the opening game of the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan/Korea.
Diop, who made 63 appearances for the Lions of Teranga, died at the age of 42.
He played for Fulham, West Ham and Portsmouth among other clubs.
