Royal AM fail to turn up again

Royal AM once again did not pitch up to honour their promotion-relegation playoffs match against Richards Bay at uMhlathuze Sport Complex on Monday afternoon.

Richards Bay players waited for their opponents Royal AM to show up for their match before the match was declared a walk over.

Bay took the field in what was their home match‚ only for the referee to signal game over before the match started‚ blowing to signal of a no-show from Royal AM at the 3pm kickoff.

As with the two previous playoff match, AM didn’t play but on Tuesday they arrived for the game against Chippa United at Chatsworth Stadium but were instructed by their management to leave.

The three points will be awarded to Bay.

Royal have been embroiled in a court saga in which they have aimed to be reinstated as the top of the GladAfrica Championship champions.
