GladAfrica Championship side Royal Eagles’ on and off the field problems are far from over as news coming from their camp is that their players have gone on a strike and refuse to train.
FARPost has been reliably been told that the players have had enough with the club’s inability to pay their monthly salaries and have decided to down tools.
This publication has also been told that the players wanted to boycott the League match against Swallows FC but had to be begged to play.
Club CEO Morgan Mmamila could not deny it admit the allegations but admitted that the club was going through their own challenges.
“The players are not happy with some of the issues within the team that remains private but as their Leader I have assured them that everything will be sorted so by tomorrow everything will be fine,” said Mmamila.
The cash-strapped side will face Richards Bay in their next League match on Sunday.
They remain bottom of the log with 15 points from 22 matches, 6 points below second from bottom side Jumo Cosmos.
