Royal Eagles CEO Morgan Mammila predicts that his side will beat Kaizer Chiefs when the 2 teams lock horns in the Nedbank Cup last 32 on Saturday evening at FNB Stadium, adding that the country will be at “peace” that evening.
Chiefs will be expected to comfortably beat the GladAfrica Championship side in a game viewed as a mismatch by many as Eagles are currently at the bottom of the 2nd tier league table, while ‘Amakhosi’ are at the summit of the Absa Premiership.
“We are going to play a team that is in form, number 1 on the log… with some of the best players on the continent,” Mammila told FARPost.
“But I have seen this movie before when it comes to the Nedbank Cup. I know that the (Chiefs) coach (Ernst Middendorp) is going to play a different team for our match and that is going to help us.
“We are not going there to honour the fixture but to compete and match them pound to pound. Come 90 minutes Saturday 20h00 South Africa will have peace,” added Mammila.
