Manchester United legend and current Wales manager Ryan Giggs has denied allegations that he assaulted his partner.
Several newspapers in the United Kingdom have reported that Giggs has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
His representatives said he denies all allegations of assault made against him and is cooperating with the police.
Wales have also cancelled a news conference ahead of their upcoming friendly against the USA following the “alleged incident”.
The team was due to announce their squad for the 12 November match and subsequent Nations League fixtures with the Republic of Ireland and Finland.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “Police were called at 10.05pm on Sunday 1 November 2020 to reports of a disturbance at an address in Worsley.
“A woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries but did not require any treatment.
“A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault and section 39 common assault. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries,” read the statement.
