SA ABROAD: Pre-season joy for Dolly, Darren Smith continues hot form

KEAGAN DOLLY

The South African winger will be pleased to have been back on the score sheet for Montpellier Herault as they thumped Rodez 3-1 in a preseason friendly.

Dolly was introduced in the second half for Montpellier and scored the third goal in the 78th minute of the game.

DARREN SMITH AND AYA KONQOBE

Both Darren Smith and Ayabulela Konqobe started and played 90 minutes for Ekenas IF with Smith netting his 6th League goal of the season in a 1-1 draw against MP in the Finnish second division.

PERCY TAU

The Bafana Bafana man made headlines in the Belgian capital after scoring a beautiful debut goal for giants Anderlecht in their 3-1 win against Sint Truidense in the Jupiler Pro League on Sunday night.

Last season Tau scored against STVV in his debut for former loan club Brugge last season.

BRADLEY CROSS

The former Mpumalanga Black Aces man continued his trial at Dutch second division side Go Ahead Eagles as he looks to secure a deal.

Cross played the last 14 minutes as Eagles fell to top division side Heracles Almeho in a preseason friendly.

KURT ABRAHAMS

The striker finished his last preparation in fine form for Westerlo before the resumption of the league with a brace for Westerlo in their 3-1 drubbing of Dutch side MVV Maastricht on Saturday.

GEORGE LEBESE

The midfielder started and was substituted in the second half as his side Colorado Springs narrowly lost 1-0 against New Mexico United in the United States second division on Saturday.

TUMI MOSHOBANE

The attacker started and finished yet another game for San Diego loyal but he couldn’t help them avoid a 2-0 beating at the hands of Orange County SC in the USL championship.

Moshobane is a regular for Loyal as they hope to get back to winning ways after three games without a win in the league.

LEBO MOLOTO

The midfielder started and lasted 86 minutes for FC Tulsa as they played out to a 0-0 draw against San Antonio in the United States second division.

LUKE LE ROUX AND TASHREEQ MATTHEWS

Le Roux lasted 80 minutes while Matthews lasted 73 as Varbergs BoIS lost 3-1 against BK Hacken in the Swedish Allsvenskan

Their compatriot Keanin Ayer was out due to a back injury, but should be back for Monday night’s game against the same Hacken.
