SA v EGYPT: Key players

David Notoane’s charges take on Egypt tonight in a crucial semi-final clash at the Cairo International Staduim (20:00).

SA are just one game away from booking a spot in the 2020 Summer Olympic Games that will be held in Tokyo.

FARPost‘s Amahle Siphungu picks out some key Players for tonight’s match.

Darren Johnson (goalkeeper)

Of the goalkeepers that have played at the Afcon, he’s the only that has kept clean sheets in all matches (3 out of 3).

Tercious Malepe

The captain Tercious, far left, is tipped to shine.

The captain has played a vital part in defence. He will be tasked tonight with stopping the likes of Mohammed Motsaffa who has proven to be a goal scoring machine, with three goals so far in the tournament.

Teboho Mokoena (midfielder)

The SuperSport United midfielder has had an impressive run in this tournament scoring the winning goal against Ivory Coast. He would be very key in the middle of the park.

Lyle Foster (striker)

The AS Monaco star has started  two games for SA in this campaign and even though he hasn’t opened his scoring yet, he’s always influential upfront and has that natural goal scoring ability.

Luther Singh (striker)

He delivered a Man of The Match Performance in the goalless draw against Nigeria, proving to be a constant threat upfront which gives hope that maybe tonight he may score.
