The South African Football Association (SAFA) have confirmed that 2000 fans will be allowed at the FNB Stadium when Bafana Bafana take on Ethiopia on Tuesday.
Bafana will take on the ‘Walias’ in a Group G match of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers at 18:00.
The association had been on a drive together with the Government encouraging fans to be vaccinated to be allowed back into the stadiums.
“A total of 2000 fans will be allowed to watch the Bafana Bafana v Ethiopia match on Tuesday, 12 October 2021,” said SAFA in a statement on Monday.
Only vaccinated people were allowed to apply and the tickets were snapped up quickly.
South African football fans have not been able to attend football matches since the emergence of covid-19, in the country, in March 2020.
