The 2020 South African Football Association (SAFA) Congress is likely to be conducted virtually due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
This was announced by the association on Saturday as they prepare for the ordinary congress taking place on 19 December 2020.
The 2020 FIFA Congress was conducted virtually while CAF have also recommended that their congress scheduled for December 11 be held virtually.
‘’We are likely to follow the global route of having our Congress this year conducted virtually,” said SAFA CEO, Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe.
“These are not normal times and people’s health comes first in whatever we do,’’ he said.
The congress is expected to address amongst other things the impact of SAFA finances and competitions due to the pandemic.
