Schutte makes debut in Spain

Portugal-born Ricardo Schutte made his full debut for Spanish Second Division side CD Mirandes this past weekend playing the whole game as they drew 0-0 against Alcorcon in the league.

Schutte started his career at Riveira Brava in 2007 before moving to FC Porto to join their development system in 2008 staying three years with Porto before joining Dragon Force and eventually Rio Ave in 2012.

The striker played 26 games for Rio Ave’s B team scoring 11 goals in the process.

Schutte was promoted to the first team in July 2018 and made his professional debut on the second of August coming on as a late substitute for Leandrinho in a 4–4 UEFA Europa League home draw against Jagiellonia Białystok.

He later made his Primeira Liga debut on 2 December 2019 coming on for Bruno Moreira in a 0–2 loss against SC Braga.

On 24 August 2020 the striker joined Spanish Segunda División side CD Mirandés on a season-long loan.

Against Alcorcon he was deployed as they main striker for CD Mirandes, here are his statistics for his debut game.

The Spanish Second Division is one of the best second in the world coming third after the English Championship and Bundesliga 2.

In fact the Segunda Liga is the last step towards playing in one of the best leagues in the world, La Liga.
