Seema: Expectations are high

Newly appointed Golden Arrows coach Lehlohonolo Seema held his first training session with the players today and he has already noticed and acknowledged the work of his predecessor.

The former Chippa United mentor has replaced Mandla Ncikazi, who did a wonderful job with Abafana Bes’thende last season, guiding them to fourth position in the DStv Premiership.

Seema revealed that he is not looking to change a lot from the team and he will work with the technical team that he found at the club.

“We are looking forward to this season, to the challenge and of course we told the players that look, the expectations are high now.

“Let’s see if we can even surpass what we did last season or at least get there, where we are this season. So we start working hard and we are looking forward to a great season,” echoed Seema.

“I think I must make a special mention to coach Mandla Ncikazi that he has really laid a good foundation and a good group here.

“It’s my first day at training and you could see the brotherhood, solidarity that is here, players that are willing to work hard.”

“I’d like to thank the chairlady (Mato Madlala) for the opportunity of allowing me to come and work in Golden Arrows setup, especially after the season that they’ve had,” concludes Seema.
