At the beginning of 2020 U-23 international striker Kgaogelo Sekgota joined former Premier Soccer League champions Bidvest Wits on a loan until the end of the season from Portuguese Primeira Liga side Vitoria Setubal all.
And now with the season set to be finished soon the attacker will return to his parent club.
Wits requested that Sekgota finishes the season with them before he returns to Setubal, a request which Setubal agreed to. Part of the loan deal was that Wits can buy the player should he impress the technical team enough to earn a long-term-deal with the clever boys , but the imminent sale of Wits to Tshakuma meant that deal was off the table.
Bally Smart, who is the player’s agent, also confirmed this when he spoke to Daily Sun. “He will go back to Setubal in Portugal. He still has a two-year contract with a one year option there.”
Sekgota played five league games for Wits, but he hasn’t scored any goal before the season was brought to a halt by the on going Covid19 pandemic.
