Sekhukhune announce the arrival of Mncube


Sekhukhune United have announced the signing of attacker Vusimuzi Mncube from JDR Stars.

FARPost broke the news on 05 July – Monday that talks between GladAfrica Championship side JDR Stars and Sekhukhune were intensifying with indications that the Limpopo-based outfit have acquired the services of Mncube.

On Wednesday, Sekhukhune officially confirmed that they have reached an agreement with JDR for the transfer of the 27-year-old winger.

The newly-promoted Sekhukhune – 2020/21 second-tier league champions have already beefed up their squad ahead of their debut season in the DStv Premiership with Thabo Rakhale amongst the most high-profile alongside Tshediso Patjie, Tumelo Matona, Kamohelo Sithole, and Seun Ledwaba.

“Sekhukhune United is pleased to announce the signing of Vusimuzi ‘Skheshe’ Mncube (JDR Stars FC) ahead of the 2021/2022 Season. Babina Noko Let’s welcome our new signing,” said Sekhukhune in a statement.

Mncube, who is an Orlando Pirates youth product has been a mainstay in the JDR side. He was also once on the boos of  Jomo Cosmos and Chippa United.

“I feel very happy joining this team, I have seen how they run things, very professional. It is a new challenge for me and I am looking forward to it,” said Mncube.

“I am looking to give my best, I am thankful for this opportunity.”
