SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan and CEO Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe were amongst the dignitaries as MP Boy Mamabolo through his foundation launched the Seshego football league on Friday.
The Politician who is also part of the Parliamentary committee on Sport is a well-known admirer of Developmental Football.
The Mamabolo Foundation which also host a High Schools Soccer Tournament, launched the football extravaganza for Under 10, 13, 15 and 17 teams.
“We must celebrate people like Boy Mamabolo and his wife, who without people pushing or pleading, came with a spontaneous gesture of saying look, we are going to use our own money and invest in this case,” SAFA President Dr Jordaan told guests at the launch in Seshego, Limpopo.
“This is how we all get along, we all get a break by somebody spontaneously walking up to you and offer help and assistance.
“It happens to all of us so when we can help, let us not delay,” he said.
The tournament is set to take place during the last week of November.
Other dignitaries at the event included the SAFA Provincial leadership as well as the regional structures.
