‘Shabba’ may return to Naturena

Siphiwe Tshabalala might find himself back at Naturena if everything goes as expected.

According to a very reliable source the player’s return to his former club might be delayed by the lockdown in the country due to Coronavirus.

‘Shabba’ and his son Owethu showing off the Chiefs sign recently.

The ‘Dax’ case has also been a stumbling block in the negotiations.

The Absa Premiership leaders have been banned not to register any new player for the next two transfer windows.

This came after the football mother body found Amakhosi guilty of improperly registering Madagascar international Andriamirado ‘Dax’ Andrianarimana. The club has already lodged an appeal.

“Hey man you see they’ve introduced lockdown,” said the source.

“But don’t worry everything will be in the open once this lockdown is lifted. Shabba and his agent can’t say much now you see, but like I said, him and Chiefs might reunite. Remember when he first left for Turkey Kaizer Motaung said he was always welcomed at the club.”

‘Shabba’ holds the record for the most appearances in the Soweto Derby (Chiefs v Orlando Pirates) with 31 to his name.

In total, Shabba played 372 games and scored 58 goals for Chiefs before leaving to join Turkish side Erzurumspor in 2018.
