Cape Town City’s new signee Justin Shonga has insisted that he remains as ambitious as ever after completing his move to the Citizens from Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) on a 3-year deal.
The 24-year-old was unveiled by the Cape Town-based outfit on Tuesday in a video presentation.
Shonga is determined to prove his worth with some fine performances and important goals for his new side.
“I would like to appreciate the chairman of the club John Comitis for taking into consideration for signing me,” Shonga told the media.
“Cape Town City is a good club with good players. I’m so excited to be part of the team and looking forward to fitting in to the squad.
“We will work hard for the people of Cape Town and try to achieve more in order to win games and trophies. The club has a good reputation in terms of winning.”
The Zambian international revealed he had chosen to join Jan Olde Riekerin’s side because he wanted a change, and he’s very happy that he has found it at CT City.
“To the fans, I appreciate the support they have given the club despite playing in stadiums that don’t have supporters due to COVID-19 pandemic,” concluded the former TMM and Orlando Pirates deceptive striker.
