Shongwe and Makudubela move to Georgia

South African football players Jabulani Shongwe and Mahlatse Makudubela have secured a move to Georgian Erovnuli Liga 2 (second division) side, FC Gagra.

The pair will join their new teammates when the new season starts in January 2020. Both Shongwe (29) and Makudubela (29) were at Highlands Park last season, but struggled to get some game time forcing coach Owen Da Gama to let them go at the end of the season.

Shongwe who was recently training with Swallows FC has played for Mamelodi Sundowns, Bidvest Wits, Golden Arrows, Chippa United and Highlands Park since making his professional debut in 2010.

Makudubela, on the other, hand has plied his trade at Platinum Stars (now Cape Umoya United), Golden Arrows, Orlando Pirates, Chippa United and Highlands Park.
