The Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League outfit Sinenkani have parted ways with their head coach Pikolomzi Noqazo.
This comes after Noqazo failed to guide the side to the provincial playoffs.
Sinenkani finished in second place in the Eastern Cape ABC League stream B table with 34 points from 16 outings, just 5 points behind log leaders Buffalo City Municipal Stars, who went on to win the provincial playoffs over the weekend.
“As the management of Sinenkani FC, we wish to inform everyone that we have taken a very difficult decision to release the Head Coach, Mr Pikolomzi Ree Noqazo,” reads the club’s statement.
“This decision was taken after a lengthy discussion of how the team has failed to proceed to the playoffs of the ABC Motsepe League.
“We had given the head coach specific and clear targets to take the team to the next level of the League, which is the playoffs. Such target was not met.
“After considering the support the management has given to the technical team and the team, and also considering some of the internal behavioural problems we had with the coach, we decided to release him.
“Mr Noqazo has a bright future ahead of his life and we wish him very well.”
