Gaston Sirino’s proposed switch from Mamelodi Sundowns to Egyptian giants Al Ahly is highly unlikely.
With the Egyptian Premier League transfer window closing today, FARPost has gathered from sources in the North African state that the two clubs’ valuation for the attacking midfielder is worlds apart.
Sundowns are demanding €5-million (R92-million) for Sirino, but Al Ahly are only willing to part with €2-million (R38-million) for the 29-year-old.
The Uruguayan has been one of the standout performers for the Brazilians in the last few seasons and according to Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane, the African Club of the Century has been tracking Sirino for quite sometime.
Which is not surprising, considering Sirino’s contribution to the Tshwane club.
He has 24 goals and 29 assists in 100 appearances for Sundowns.
