Sivutsa fire head coach, recall Mayoyo

Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League outfit FC Sivutsa has sacked their head coach Tshegofatso Mashego with immediate effect.

The reasons behind Mashego’s departure are the team’s poor performance. After six games played, he managed to win three matches of which translate to 50% of the club’s target achieved.

Sivutsa has since recalled Innocent Mayoyo to take over the coaching reigns. Mayoyo guided the club to the South African football third-tier national playoffs last campaign.

“We looking forward to return to our winning ways and keep our hopes of national playoffs alive and subsequently get promotion to the GladAfrica Championship,” read the club’s statement.

“As the club, we urge our supporters to our coach.”

The side currently sit fifth in Stream A of the Provincial Motsepe League with nine points.

Sivutsa will lock horns with Destiny College FC on Saturday, 27 November at Kamhlushwa Stadium.

The game is set to start at 15:00 in the afternoon.
