Former Kaizer Chiefs mentor Giovanni Solinas has warned Amakhosi about Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane ahead of the Caf Champions League final.
Solinas reckons that “Mosimane is a cunning wolf” as he studies every single detail about his opponents.
The Soweto giants will go head-to-head with the Red Devils on 17 July at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.
“Al Ahly are lucky to have him [Mosimane], and he is lucky to lead such a great team. Al Ahly have higher chances in winning the title, but Kaizer Chiefs knocked out Wydad Casablanca. They are not to be underestimated,“ Solinas told Al Ahly TV.
However, the Italian tactician insists that the much-anticipated showpiece won’t be an easy encounter for nine-time Caf Champions League winners.
“The game won’t be a walk in the park for Al Ahly, despite coming into the game as favourites,” he added.
“Kaizer Chiefs depend on their strong defence, it’s their strongest point. They will surely try to rely on counter-attacks which will be a problem for Al Ahly.”
