Moses Mabhida Stadium will this afternoon host one of local football’s biggest matches between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout at 3pm.

Amakhosi are said to be the favourites going in to this encounter with their impressive form of 5 wins in a row, including on penalties over Cape Town City in the last 16.

Pirates, meanwhile, are currently faced with a problem that they aren’t able to convert as many chances as they create.

KAIZER CHIEFS

Khama Billiat

Contributing to most build up play that Amakhosi have, the Zimbabwean forward definitely poses a threat to the Buccaneers. Billiat is able to run at defenders and is always primed to make things happen.

Samir Nurkovic

The Serbian striker has been one of the standout players for Amakhosi this season contributing to a lot of play going forward and has excited the fans so far. Nurkovic has four goals in 8 appearances.

ORLANDO PIRATES

Tshegofatso Mabasa

Bucs mentor Rulani Mokwena will be counting on Mabasa to get them the much-needed goals.

Since joining Pirates in the June transfer window Mabasa has been a force to be reckoned with, having hit the ground running and scoring  5 goals in 9 matches. He also has the ability to place himself in the right place at the right time, which is needed for a game of this nature.

Thembinkosi Lorch

The 26-year-old has had a  slow start to the season, but everyone knows Lorch seems to enjoy playing against Chiefs .Lorch has scored three times against Amakhosi and will be looking to continue his impressive run against them.
