It never rains but pours for Spain, as Diego Llorente has become the second player to test positive for Covid-19 prior to the 2020 European Championship.
Just two days ago, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) reported that the club skipper Sergio Busquets also tested positive for the deadly virus.
Both players will remain in isolation until they are given the green light to return to training.
The RFEF confirmed that the Leeds United centre-back returned a positive test on Tuesday, 8 June.
Llorente and Busquets will miss Spain’s opening Euro 2020 fixture against Sweden, who also reported two positive Covid-19 cases on Monday.
