The legendary Moses Spandeel helped his ABC Motsepe side Hungry Lions FC knock out Jomo Cosmos in the Nedbank Cup at Olen Park Stadium in Potchefstroom on Sunday afternoon.
The speedy forward was very instrumental as he troubled the Cosmos defence.
Spandeel who is turning 40 in May showed that he still has great touches and speed in the beautiful game.
Speaking to FARPost after the great win Spandeel said, “It is up to you to prove people wrong so I prove people wrong not to say I want to prove a point I am just doing my job, I love the game.”
“If people forget about you it is up to you to show them that you can still make it, it is a blessing that my son is here he is 10 years old and this win is a birthday present to him.
“I never get old, I will continue playing until I’m 50 or 60.”
FARPost went on asking Moses if he would be interested playing for a PSL team and he responded, “I have scored nine goals so far, I am aim at getting 15 goals by the end of the season, I would go for anything at the moment.
“We are number two in the league with a game in hand, we haven’t lost in 16 games so my focus is here with the team,” concluded the Postmonburg-based club striker
Hungry Lions FC will face Polokwane City or Baroka FC in the last 16 on the Nedbank Cup.
