Stellenbosch have confirmed the departure of midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange.
“The club would like to thank Phathutshedzo Nange for his year’s service. We wish him all the best for his future,” said Stellenbosch in a short statement on Thursday.
Nange joined ‘Stellies’ on a season-long loan deal from Kaizer Chiefs, who at the time were serving a two-window Fifa transfer ban, which meant that the club couldn’t register new players for the 2020/21 season.
However, the Soweto giants can now sign new players as their transfer sanction has been lifted as of 1 July and Nange is set to join ‘Amakhosi’ ahead of the new campaign.
The midfielder, along with Njabulo Ngcobo, Sibusiso Mabiliso, Kgaogelo Sekgota, and Sifiso Hlanti were at Naturena on 15 June and they’ve been given Chiefs’ pre-season programme and will be with the team in Polokwane from July 3, as per the reliable FARPost source.
