Still no Kerr for Baroka

Baroka will still be without their head coach Dylan Kerr when they take on Stellenbosch at Athlone Stadium tonight at 20:00.

This will be a fourth match were Kerr is unable to sit on the bench due to the work permit which has not been issued yet.

The former Leeds United player admits that it is frustrating not being able to dish instructions directly from the bench.

“I was there (Home Affairs) on Monday to sort the paperwork out so as far as I know it was sent to Pretoria on Tuesday so I was hoping it would have been ready by Friday. It’s been frustrating because I know the way I want to work, I know how the players want to work and I know why the players want to work like that,” He told FARPost.coza

“At the end of the day we are in the bottom 4 with only a point separating 12 from 16 so it’s vitally important that I can quickly get my card so I can sit on the bench and start to prepare and organise like I can do.”

Long-serving assistant coach Matsemela Thoka will be in charge of the team tonight.

Baroka are also without their Mozambican anchor-man Manuel Kambala who is still out serving his red card suspension.
