Sunflower WFC aim to continue with fine form

Sunflower Women’s Football Club team manager Manah Nhlema says they are aiming to continue with their recent fine form when they face DUT Midlands today.

Kick off is scheduled for 13:00 at Indumiso Sports Field.

The side is currently cruising on the summit of the KwaZulu-Natal Sasol League stream A log standings with 15 points, having won all of its five league matches.

Meanwhile, Midlands are placed at the bottom of the table with one point after four outings.

Nhlema admits it won’t be a walk in the park when they take on the struggling Midlands.

“We take each game as it comes. One thing I can assure you of is that it won’t be an easy match. All teams come prepared and we will have to be ready,” she said.

“At this moment, the team isn’t taking anything for granted.”

Sunflower WFC are the favourites to win not just for this fixture but for provincial honours as well.
