SuperSport United have categorically denied rumours that the club is up for sale.
With the PSL Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza having announced the new sponsor for the Premier Division on Thursday evening – DStv – it was rumoured that SuperSport could be forced to sell to avoid conflict of interest.
But ‘Matsatsantsa’ released a statement, denying that the club is up for sale.
“SuperSport United has been made aware of the rumours and speculation regarding the potential sale of the club. These are untrue,” read the statement.
“SuperSport United can categorically state that there have been no such approaches and, more importantly, the club is not up for sale.”
