SuperSport edge Maritzburg with last gasp goal

With the match seemingly headed for a draw, Botswana international Thatayaone Ditlhokwe scored a last gasp header to help SuperSport maintain their unbeaten run after beating Maritzburg 2-1.

SuperSport were first to score just 10 minutes into the game, thanks to a flicking header by Thamsanqa Gabuza.

The visitors then equalised in the 58th minute through Lifa Hlongwane. The two teams had just returned from a break that was forced by poor lighting.

It then took the last touch by Ditlhokwe to seal a win for Kaitano Tembo’s charges. Substitute Sipho Mbule delivered an inch perfect cross which Ditlhokwe connected well into the top right corner.

The win saw SuperSport maintain second place after winning three and drawing twice in the opening five fixtures of the DStv Premiership season.
