SuperSport United have announced the contract extension of second-choice goalkeeper Boalefa Pule by a further three years.
Pule’s contract was coming to an end on June 30, but United have tied down the keeper until 2023.
Announcing the contract extension on the club’s social media platforms, SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews said the 30-year-old has remained a true professional regardless of the lack of game time.
“It’s not easy for a goalkeeper who is sitting behind the most capped player and captain at his club (in this case Ronwen Williams) to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and consistency,” said Matthews.
“Boalefa is now one of our longest-serving players and we are delighted that our goalkeeping department has the depth that it does.”
Pule has been part of the SuperSport United senior team since 2011, but has also had some loan spells at AmaZulu and Bidvest Wits.
