Tanzania comes to a standstill

It is #DarDerby Day and the two biggest teams in Tanzania, Simba and Yanga, will battle it out at the National Stadium this afternoon.

With a capacity of 60 000, it’s expected to be packed to the rafters.

Kick off is at 5pm in Dar es Salaam.

Ex Black Leopards coach Luc Eymael has vowed to improve Yanga’s poor record against Simba.

“I think Yanga didn’t win the derby for the past three years but Simba is a good team with players used to play together for several years and we are in a process of transition,” Eymael is quoted by Goal.com.

SA born football administrator Senzo Mbatha is the CEO of Simba.

Simba are the reigning champions and runaway leaders with 68 points from 26 outings, while third-placed Yanga with 47 points from 24 matches will be battling for bragging rights.

However, the likes of Simba star player Cletous Chama will not make it easy for Yanga.
