Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter has given an update about Percy Tau’s situation at the club.
On Thursday afternoon, the coach spoke to the media ahead of Brighton’s opening Premier League game against Burnley on Saturday.
The club have also announced their official 25-man squad for the upcoming season and Tau is part of the players who have been registered.
Potter gave a squad update with a few senior players still recovering from injuries ahead of the trip to Turf Moor.
“No fresh injury concerns. We’re still without Danny Welbeck, Dan Burn and Tariq Lamptey,” he explained.
“Tariq is still doing his rehab. With a bit of luck after the international break, we might see a bit more of him.
“Percy has been training with us this morning, there has been interest from overseas, but nothing new to report. He is available for the game on Saturday.”
Tau was involved in the club’s pre-season, but he missed their friendly game against Getafe last weekend with Potter explaining that it was due to ‘personal reasons’.
The attacker recently scored his first goal for the Seagulls as they defeated Luton Town in a pre-season friendly.
