SuperSport United midfielder Teboho Mokoena is eligible for selection after missing the crucial Tshwane Derby encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns due to accumulating 4 yellow cards.
Mokoena who is a key player for Matsatsantsa in the middle of the park was dearly missed as Sundowns were dominant in central midfield and as a result walked away with all the 3 points after winning 2-1.
However, the 22-year-old will be available as SuperSport tackle Chippa United at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Friday evening.
The SA U23 international’s return to action will certainly make some tremendous difference in the team as Matsatsantsa are still fighting for the league title according to head coach Kaitano Tembo as they are currently in 3rd place with 31 points after 19 matches; 11 points adrift log leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
Mokoena who is highly rated by his coach Tembo has featured for the Tshwane based side in 24 games in all competitions and has 5 assists to his name.
He was named the Young Player of the Season at the 2018/19 Premier Soccer League (PSL) awards following a stellar season.
Matsatsantsa will be looking for revenge when they meet Chippa once again as in the first round they dropped maximum points in Port Elizabeth after losing 1-0 loss.
The match is scheduled for 8 pm.
