SuperSport United mentor Kaitano Tembo is satisfied with what he has achieved at the club so far and feels content that his side can win this season’s league title given the club’s recent in-form.
Matsatsantsa will lock horns with Usuthu in a DStv Premiership clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium this afternoon at 17:00.
SuperSport currently sit third on the Premier Soccer League (PSL) table with 23 points, just three points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who they held to a goalless draw at home in the Tshwane Derby this past weekend.
“We need to try to pull through and see how far we can go. In terms of winning the league. It’s one game at a time. In the past two seasons, we were close up to the end,” Tembo told the club’s official website.
“Mathematically we always had an opportunity to win it but lacked that consistency, which is what we are trying to work on this season and there’s hope we can get it right.”
On the other hand, AmaZulu will be hoping to turn their misfortune into good account as they are now winless in three matches, having played to a 0-0 draw with Maritzburg United in the PSL encounter over the weekend.
The KZN-based outfit are placed 10th on the log standings with 11 points from 11 outings.
