Former Polokwane City defender Thabiso Semenya has officially launched his first annual Easter football tournament.
The football extravaganza will commence on Friday, 2 April until Monday, 5 April at Moletjie Mashobohleng grounds.
“I am doing this for the community of Moletjie as a whole, giving back to the community that supported me throughout my career,” Semenya told FARPost.
“The community that made me, lastly to unlock tomorrow’s potential, giving players the platform to be scouted by PSL, GladAfrica and ABC Motsepe teams,” added Semenya.
The winner of the 16 team tournament will walk home with R50 000.
Teams participating include Rankhuwe Aces, Tshakhuma FC, Thole FC, Bakone FC, Nkoana Tigers, Tau Tau, Mokgonyana Royal Aces, ROR Stars, Rankhuwe Horse, Team Blue, Tshantsha Hot Pirates, Real Madrid, Padi United Brothers, AS Roma, Dinaledi FC and Mabitsela Mableo.
