Former Black Leopards and Orlando Pirates defender Thabo Matlaba has made his way back to the South Western Township, this time around to join the newly promoted Swallows FC.
Matlaba holds vast experience in the South African top-flight since joining Free State Stars back in 2010 before donning the famous black and white jersey of Pirates for seven years.
He has racked up over 260 appearances in the Premiership and will now provide healthy competition in Brandon Truter’s defence as an option as a full-back or midfielder in the upcoming 2020/21 season, set to start on 24 October.
The seasoned campaigner left Leopards last month after just a season into his two-year contract as he joined the Limpopo side at the beginning of the 2019/20 season.
