Following his move to the Danish premier division in late August to join AGF Aarhus, FARPost.co.za has caught up with Gift Links to check on how things are going for the SA winger.
Links has shared his appreciation to everyone who had a part in his new journey saying, “So far it’s all good I’m enjoying and I’m really settling in very well this side.
“I’m happy how everyone welcomed me here from the club management, teammates and the fans of this amazing football club you know,” he said.
Asked about the Danish League and why he chose to move that side the 20-year-old replied, “The Danish league is very strong and these guys are physically strong so it’s a whole new level.
“Luckily, we’ve been doing good as we have won 3 games in row now and we are sitting at number four on the log standings going to the half way point.”
Links, meanwhile, has brushed aside talks of focusing on the individual success speaking about how he wants to be a team player.
“You know individual targets come after the team’s targets, but I would love to get as many goals as I can because you know us forwards we are judged on how many assists and goals you get a season so yeah that’s the contribution I would love to make for my club and hopefully we qualify to play in Europe’s club competitions and challenge for the tittle because we have a great squad of talented players,” added the Phokeng-born, Rustenburg, winger.
Links was not part of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations team and believes the snub gave him enough time to put in some extra work before the season resumes over the weekend as he pushes to cement a starting berth in the team .
