AmaZulu general manager Lunga Sokhela has confirmed that the club are currently in the process of terminating the contract of defender Tshepo Gumede.
The former Orlando Pirates centre-back was deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Jozef Vukusic as previously reported by FARPost.co.za and Sokhela has since provided the latest update on the matter.
“Yeah, we have negotiated to come to a certain amount with him [Gumede], we have spoken openly with him that this is not ideal for him he needs to go find a new home and hopefully today we will concluded something,” stated Sokhela.
The 28-year-old former Platinum stars and Cape Town City defender joined AmaZulu midway through the 2018/19 Premier Soccer League season after parting ways with Cape Town City and he featured in 6 league matches under the previous coach Cavin Johnson helping the KwaZulu Natal club retain their status in the Premier Soccer League.
